BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Betty Chu

Betty Chu has had many diverse experiences, including teaching, event planning, and nonprofit experience. For seven years, she taught in the Chelsea Public Schools as a second and third grade teacher, where she earned a nomination in 2001 for Disney Teacher of the Year. Betty has also served as a Program Coordinator for the Executive Education department at Harvard Business School as well as a Program Manager with FM&A, a destination management and event planning company located on Beacon Hill. Although Betty enjoyed event planning as a career, she was eager to return to education and to work with children again. In 2008, Betty returned to teaching and is currently a Kindergarten Teacher at the Belmont Day School, a co-ed independent school. Betty currently serves as the Executive Vice President of the Boston chapter of the National Association of Asian American Professionals (NAAAP) and has previously served three terms on the Board of Directors. In her spare time, Betty is also a Big Sister with the Big Brothers Big Sisters Association and has been matched with her Little Sister since January 2009.

Josh Dalton

Joshua M. Dalton, a partner with Bingham McCutchen, has been voted a Massachusetts Super Lawyer “Rising Star” three years in a row. He has extensive experience in intellectual property litigation as well as general commercial litigation where he represents a wide variety of clients in patent, copyright, trademark, trade dress, false advertising and trade secret matters. Josh’s clients have included the Boston Red Sox, Boston Scientific, ConAgra Foods, Nissan and Anheuser-Busch. Josh has obtained a Bachelor of Science from the University of Utah and is a graduate of Harvard Law School.

Ellen Giannuzzi

Ellen Giannuzzi is an attorney with over twenty years of experience in the corporate and non-profit sectors. In addition to her legal work, Ellen has been involved with a number of non-profit boards and has been an active volunteer at her children’s schools. Ellen currently serves as a trustee at The Winsor School, a member of the Parents’ Leadership Council at Brown University, and as a member of the foundation board at Excel Academy, a charter school in East Boston.

Amanda Sonis Glynn

Amanda Sonis Glynn is the Director of the Harvard Public Service Network (PSN) and Center for Public Interest Careers (CPIC) at Harvard College, where she supports more than 50 student-led service groups and oversees multiple fellowship and internship programs. She was formerly a Skadden Fellow and staff attorney at the Medical-Legal Partnership for Children at Boston Medical Center, which provides legal services to pediatric patient families. Amanda's fellowship focused on the civil legal needs of patients in the Adolescent Center. Amanda is a member of the board of Temple Shir Tikva in Wayland, MA, where she serves as the Co-Chair of Social Action, and is a graduate of Tufts University and Harvard Law School.

Ginny Hoverman

Ginny Hoverman is a results-oriented business and life coach with more than 25 years of experience working with professionals to achieve their highest potential professionally and personally. She is a Certified Executive Coach and holds a Master of Education degree, a Certificate of Advanced Studies, and is a Senior Professional in Human Resources. Ginny has worked with executives from American Express, Dupont, Northrop Grumman, McDonnell Douglas, Westinghouse, Ketchum Communications, and more than 50 other companies to help them achieve results. Ginny is a Regional Director of New England Coaching and a lead trainer in New England Coaching's Leadership and Sales Effectiveness Programs.

Linda Katz

Linda Katz is an active member of the Hopkinton Youth Commission, where she has put together an annual MLK day family volunteering event for over 500 people. For the past 9 years, Linda has also worked as a consultant for School Mediation Associates where she trains middle and high school kids to be peer mediators. Prior to this, Linda worked for 20 years as an occupational therapist. Linda lives in Hopkinton with her three children.

Iryna Priester

Iryna Priester is a non practicing attorney with over twenty years of experience in the public and non-profit sectors. She has held numerous local and statewide elected and appointed positions from Selectman to the Judicial Nominating Council. Iryna has been involved with numerous non-profit boards most notably Sudbury Valley Trustees, a regional land conservation organization. She has a committed interest in youth and has been a volunteer case reviewer for DSS for many years.Most recently Iryna's involvement with Crossroads Community Foundation has evolved in her teaching "Youth in Philanthropy", a semester long program which teaches high school students how to be informed and committed philanthropists.  Iryna is a graduate of The American University in Paris, The University of Virginia and New England Law.

Diane Brooks Ring

Diane is Director of Furnishing Options, a furniture and household goods donation program of Employment Options, Inc. in Marlborough, Mass. Her professional experience includes a variety of roles for non-profit, for-profit, public sector and higher education organizations. Diane is a 2007 graduate of the Leadership MetroWest program and a current member of its Alumni Association Steering Committee. Her past volunteer experience includes membership on the Fundraising Committee and Board of Directors of The Friends of The Ashland, Mass. Public Library, and being a mentor for Jewish Vocational Services. Diane holds a B.A. from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, and a Certificate in Human Resources Management from Bentley University in Waltham, Mass. She lives in Ashland with her husband Martin.

Mary Wendell

Mary Wendell is a community activist who has served on a variety of committees and boards over the past 23 years. She has been the Director of the Community Service Program at Milton Academy from 1986-1994, active with St. Michael’s Church in Milton, a volunteer with the St. Paul Cathedral’s Monday Lunch Program, a Volunteer at The Epiphany School in Dorchester, an alumni Interviewer for Middlebury College’s Admission Program as well as a Class agent, and a Board member of the Forbes House Museum. Mary is a graduate of Middlebury College and a resident of Milton, MA.
